Thank You Letter
|
Hi All!
I want to thank everyone who made the Horseless Rally a HUGE success! I know so many people went to heroic measures to not only physically be at the rally, but in creativity- to make their station meaningful (and workable) given the wet conditions and location "adjustment"
Several new parents -not just 1 or 2- but many- gave praises at the end of the rally complimenting EVERYONE who helped at the rally, and thanked us for a great day! Examples were: The kids were so helpful & knowledgeable! The pony clubbers are so good at teaching! I learned I have a lot to learn (from a parent). I am really excited about pony club! I got a lot out of the parent round table discussion! I am glad I learned my tack is going to be ok! My daughter said she doesn't want to go home-now I don't know where she is! etc. etc. etc!!
The new pony clubbers, in addition to their parents, were engaged in the stations and seemed to have good and relevant questions which were handled professionally by everyone!
Check in, Parking, Coffee & lunch went off without a hitch-The tack sale- and Bike Raffle was beneficial to both pony club and new parents-Set up and Take down crews deserve special kudos, as we weren't certain exactly how everything was going work at 7:15! The new computer station was a challenge-but I must thank Dave, Dan & Tom for forging the way in this new frontier & can not wait for this station next year!!!! Teri from the IEC, and the trainers were kind and patient, allowing us to take over an occupied barn and maintenance shed with a day's notice! We were even loaned a perfectly gentle pony who loved his job as a "parts model! "
All DC's and rally organizers deserve a big "Job Well Done" for getting their newest members & parents to this rally well prepared with paper work, tack and boots!
Again-THANK YOU for your flexibility, creativity and simply being there to make the 2010 Horseless Rally the best Horseless Rally ever!
Alison
